Information we collect

When you apply, we collect your name, South African ID number, mobile number and email address so that we can verify your application and contact you about it. We also collect your preferred contact method, broad employment and debt bands, and answers entered in our tools or qualification flow. We also record the page that led to a request, consent wording and version, date and time, device type, and security information needed to prevent abuse.

When a link contains campaign parameters or Google or Meta click identifiers, we store those identifiers as first- and last-touch attribution. We never ask for banking passwords, internet banking credentials or one-time PINs through this website.

Why we use it

We use information to provide calculators and guides, respond to requests, keep evidence of consent, protect the service, measure whether pages and tools work, and, only when you agree, progress the solution you ask for with a registered debt counsellor or registered credit provider. Processing may rely on consent, steps you ask us to take, legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as security and service improvement.

Who receives it

Service providers may process limited information to securely host and operate this website. A registered debt counsellor or registered credit provider receives your details only where that is needed to progress the solution you expressly asked for. We do not sell personal information or place it on a marketing list.

Retention and security

We retain information only as long as needed for the purpose collected, consent records, legal duties, disputes and security. Exact retention periods require professional approval. We use access controls and encryption in transit, but no online service can promise absolute security. Any cross-border processing must use appropriate POPIA safeguards.

Your rights

You may request access or correction, ask us to delete eligible information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully completed, and some records may need to be retained by law. Contact: info@consolidationrelief.co.za
