How We Work
Our role, who completes the assessment and how we are paid.
Our role
Consolidation Relief provides free debt tools and information, reviews the applications sent to us, and a Consolidation Relief Financial Assessor contacts you to complete the assessment with you. We are not a lender and we do not make credit decisions.
Who we work with
We work only with debt counsellors and credit providers registered with the National Credit Regulator. Where a solution needs a registered debt counsellor or a registered credit provider, that work is carried out by them under the National Credit Act. We do not publish the details or registration numbers of the professionals and providers we work with.
How we are paid
You do not pay Consolidation Relief for using the tools, applying, or speaking to a Financial Assessor. We are paid by the registered providers and professionals we work with when a solution is put in place. That payment never changes what you owe or the cost of your credit agreement.
Credit decisions
Any credit application remains subject to identity, credit and affordability checks, legal duties, terms and approval. Read the pre-agreement statement and quotation before you decide. We cannot guarantee approval, savings or a particular interest rate.
Your information
We collect your name, ID number, mobile number and email address so we can verify your application and contact you about it. Your information is shared with a registered debt counsellor or credit provider only where that is needed to progress the solution you asked for. You can withdraw consent at any time.
